ABSTRACT

This chapter describes the impact of the nine domains. These are “Student”, “Home”, “School”, “Classroom”, “Curricula”, “Teaching strategies”, “Implementation methods”, “Learning strategies”, and “Teacher”. The chapter discusses all domains contribute to student achievement. The domains “Student” and “Home” are colored dark blue because they have great impact but are not easily accessible to the teacher. The domains “School”, “Classroom”, and “Curricula” are depicted in blue, because teachers have some impact on the factors in these domains. The domains “Teaching strategies”, “Implementation strategies”, and “Learning strategies” are colored light blue and the domain “Teacher” the lightest blue because they are particularly dependent on the teachers’ competences and attitudes. The comparison of factors in the domains of “School” and “Classroom” on the one hand and factors in the domains “Teaching strategies”, “Implementation methods”, and “Learning strategies”, and “Teacher” on the other hand clarifies this idea.
