ABSTRACT

This chapter addresses the limitations of Visible Learning. Visible Learning has changed the debate about teaching and learning and the way we think about classroom teaching. Visible Learning may be considered one of the largest source of empirical educational research available covering achievement effects. It is a veritable treasure chest of thoughts about the effectiveness of learning and teaching. Visible Learning explains that the search for the holy grail of teaching must be aborted and we must set out in a different direction. Learning has been, is, and will remain strenuous, requires commitment, challenges, and mistakes, a positive relationship, appreciation, and a common vision of progress and learning.
