ABSTRACT
This chapter introduces important legal and ethical considerations for today’s journalists. It also establishes the importance of following a code of ethics as journalists, and introduces some of the policies established by the most revered journalism organizations and newsrooms in the country. Previous and current research on how journalists should navigate social and digital media is examined.
