ABSTRACT

This chapter provides the detailed rationale of the program, the discussion of the process of implementation and the evaluation data to summarize presentation of the significance of specific program. The immediate attempts at improvement can be based on the observations and those of the management, of educators, students and parents associated with the program. It is necessary to differentiate between immediate and long-term improvements. The role, structure, and composition of the boarding program should be considered as a way to serve specified needs of certain groups at a certain stage of their socialization. The chapter discusses the improvements, including Staff development, Adaptation to a lower background and ability group, Head start at early adolescence, prolonged day fostering parallel to boarding, Local boarding parallel to national facilities, Continued fostering in higher education. The improvements also include improved social integration opportunities, Academic versus technical and agricultural education, Adaptation to differential sex role needs, and Cooperation with parents.
