ABSTRACT
This chapter differentiates spirituality from religion, and explains how the concept of spirituality may mean many things to many people. The spiritual quadrant of the 4-D Wheel is where clients examine and re-evaluate a variety of “irrational facts” about their sexual responses and relationships. These may range from religious and cultural messages to aspects of abuse and trauma that have wounded their spirits as well as their bodies, minds, and emotions. Neuro Update #16 addresses how sexual thoughts, emotions, and activity involve the entire brain, with reference to Bianca Acevedo, Helen Fisher, Lucy Brown, Barry Komisaruk and others.
