ABSTRACT

Health, well-being, and intimate relationships are profoundly affected by sexual issues. Yet most health professionals lack training and supervision to help their students, clients, and patients negotiate sexual choices in safety and pleasure. 4-D training helps fill this lack by offering an innovative approach for exploring a wide range of clients’ sexual stories about desire, gender identities, sexual orientation, pleasure, dysfunction, aging, abuse, affairs, poly relationships, and more. Richly illustrated exercises and examples in this chapter address movement, concretizing, and grounding, and offer positive guidelines for further training and practice development.
