ABSTRACT

This chapter describes how the physical quadrant of the 4-D Wheel involves a full range of sensory experience: smell, taste, touch, sight, and hearing. At its most optimal, the physical 4-D experience is characterized by positive body image and by heightened senses: brighter colors, increased sensitivity to touch, taste, smell, and hearing, along with positive body image and exquisite awareness of how all parts of the body connect to all the senses—and to the thoughts, emotions, and experience of life-force energy. Neuro Updates #11, #12, and #13 address how body–mind and mind–body connections affect the expression of sexual desire, with references to Amy Cuddy, Bessel van der Kolk, Joe Dispenza, Michael Pollan, Leonore Tiefer, Ellyn Kaschak, Eric Janssen, John Bancroft, Emily Nagoski, and Julia Velten.
