ABSTRACT

This chapter presents a small case study about the production history of the talk show The Trial of Time (2010), which is used as a prism to examine the politics of television programming. Building upon the thematic case studies that precede it, this final chapter employs an analysis of the societal debate generated by the show as a stepping stone for a reflection on the interaction between the different levels of memory politics: the state and media and non-state actors on the one hand and the general audience whose perceptions they aim to influence on the other.
