ABSTRACT

This chapter deals with the works and operations, relating to the electronic communications operated by code operators, for which there are permitted development rights under the 2015 Order, as it applies to England. It addresses Class A, which makes provision for permitted development rights for electronic code operators. The permitted development is development by or on behalf of an electronic communications code operator for the purpose of the operator's electronic communications network in, on, over or under land controlled by that operator or in accordance with the electronic communications code. Article 4 directions may be found in such locations as conservation areas, national parks and areas of outstanding natural beauty. It follows that before a code operator considers whether it has permitted development rights under the General Permitted Development Order 2015.
