ABSTRACT

Some consultants review their project plans daily. They find it an effective way to review what they’ve accomplished, and what needs to be done, while giving them a chance to make adjustments in the scope of activities, budgets, or need for help. There is no perfect template for developing a project plan for a consulting project; how long they will be, and the kind of information they will include, will vary depending on the details of the project. A good project plan identifies who will be doing which project activities, as well as the associated budgets. The plan should describe how the project managers will assign and monitor work assignments, track issues to completion, and update the team. One primary outcome might be to assess the employees’ knowledge of the software in order to help determine the root cause of the delays.
