ABSTRACT

This chapter sketches the global outlook and expanding coalition of West Bank popular committees. Beginning around 2009, they extended their struggle beyond the wall, beyond their villages, and beyond the West Bank, calling for a Third and Global Intifada. The chapter reveals the mixed results of coordination efforts, including through the formation of the Popular Struggle Coordination Committee and the formal partnership with top Palestinian leadership. The chapter also situates the struggle of the village of Nabi Saleh within the context of the wider West Bank movement, as a symbol of both the opportunities and the challenges facing the movement.
