ABSTRACT
Professor Gulshan Dietl joined Jawaharlal Nehru University in March 1979 and taught until September 2001 upon superannuation. During this period she taught and supervised M.Phil. dissertations and Ph.D. theses on subjects and areas covering domestic developments, foreign policy and security in the Persian Gulf and the wider Middle East. She served as the Chairperson of the Centre for West Asian and African Studies and the Director of Gulf Studies Programme.
