ABSTRACT

The candidate has been asked to plan a teaching session for around 20 undergraduates on abdominal examination. Consideration should be given to the logistics and setting for teaching the students and also the contents. Given the large group size teaching in the clinical setting, such as the antenatal department, would be inappropriate. At the end of the teaching, the students should be directed towards opportunities to reinforce their learning such as following a doctor or midwife in antenatal clinic and practicing obstetric examinations. Candidate will be assessed using the following domains: patient safety; communication with colleagues; information gathering; and applied clinical knowledge.
