ABSTRACT

This final chapter summarizes paradoxical thinking as fundamental approach to leadership and provides perspective in relation to using paradox for strategic decisions, in leadership focus areas, and in relation to communication within the organization. The manager’s task is to communicate clearly and concisely about ambiguous subjects as well as to set a direction where flexibility and the unknown are a part of the daily life. Overall, their task is to operate with and understand that paradox and complexity are part of leadership, while simultaneously clarifying paradoxes and creating workable certainty for employees.
