ABSTRACT

This chapter explains MPI (Management of Paradox Indicator) as a tool for leadership development. I provide an example of how a management group uses MPI in order to create a new understanding of their role paradoxes as well as an evaluation of their own leadership roles/positions. The exercise can also be used by groups of managers who want to develop together, find out how they can pay attention to relevant organizational challenges, and how they can adjust their leadership efforts to match the needs of their organization.
