Quadratic Residues (mod r) (r > 1)

Properties of quadratic residues modulo r (r ≥ 1) are explained. Gauss’ quadratic reciprocity law is shown with examples. Legendre symbol (a| p) is illustrated with the evaluations of ( −1| p) and (2| p), where p is an odd prime.
