ABSTRACT
Chapter 4 deals with the design and development of antennas capable of performing multiple antenna functionalities. As cognitive radio (CR) in software-defined radio (SDR) technology is one of the major applications of these antennas, a section is dedicated to antenna requirements for SDR and CR technologies. Various arts and techniques of designing multifunctional antennas as well as their advantages are discussed in detail.
