ABSTRACT

In this chapter the focus is on exploring the various relationships impacting the intervention planning for a youth struggling at school and in life. The Collage Life-story Elicitation Technique (CLET) was employed with the family unit and analysed to assess the underlying challenges, after which intervention planning proceeded based on the SBFC meta-model. Further techniques stimulated by solution-focused and narrative family counseling with groups and individuals were employed to generate change in relationship patterns and resolve the initial referral problem for a school student and his family.
