ABSTRACT

This chapter identifies all the standards and its relationships in Process Assessment Model (PAM). An important component of the ISO 21500 assessment program is the ISO 21500 PAM. Process reference model discusses the following two process areas: Project governance involves setting direction and making decisions about and monitoring project constraints and benefits; and Project management (PM) involves delivering on the project direction within project constraints while delivering agreed-upon benefits. Process areas decompose into process domains. Domains are a logical grouping of processes. Within the Project Governance area, there are two domains: the establish domain provides us with the governance processes that set the background and framework for PM in organization; and the monitor domain provides us with the governance processes that oversee the key inputs and outputs of the project. The initiate domain provides us with the management processes that initiate a project phase or project, including defined objectives and authorization for the project manager to start the project.
