ABSTRACT

The management of four elements—conflict, motivation, stress, and behaviors—can be considered managing the project environment. Personal styles, different interests, divergent perspectives and ego clashes are the main causes of conflict. Logical conflicts are related to a different understanding of an issue or solution that must be applied. Motivation is the internal driver that leads a human being to action. Motivation has two perspectives: one extrinsic and the other intrinsic. Environmental surveys help map team motivation, providing an overall view of the project's environment. Stress is both a positive and a negative force. Excessive stress is a negative force for individuals and is dangerous for the project. It affects motivation because it affects the team's quality of life directly. Individual and team behavior is an indicator of a positive project environment and an indicator of problems in the project. Companionship, cooperation, and a willingness to reach common understanding are all factors that indicate a healthy project.
