This chapter focuses on a general overview of the beliefs and practices of eschatology. The major issues of discourse here are:

The historical development of eschatology as a “theology” shaped by different other associated religious and cultural themes in subsequent chapters of the book.

A brief literature review of work, study, and writings in the development of eschatological “theology” in African cultural and religious worldviews.

Presenting a thesis of African eschatological holistic theme through the interconnectivity of the sometimes constructed diverse cultural and religious beliefs and practices to be examined in subsequent chapters of the book.
