Trust and romantic relationships

The chapter begins with a monologue that depicted a renewal of a woman’s trust in her husband. The chapter reviews the four approaches to trust and romantic relationships (attachment-romantic, faith-romantic, evolutionary, and romantic partner – BDT). It includes a review of the corresponding research and critical revaluation of both approach and research. The chapter was designed to highlight that each approach and corresponding research contributes in a unique a way to our understanding of trust and romantic relationships, The chapter culminated in the applied focus on infidelity that included a discussion of the strategies promoting continuity of relationships after marital transgressions.
