ABSTRACT

The Natural Resources Act lays down that land, water and the physical environment in general must be used in such a way as to promote long-term good management from ecological, social and economic viewpoints. In addition, of course, there are underlying factors that give rise to appreciation: technical and economic development generally, population growth and other factors augmenting demand for a certain type of property in a certain area. The Office also maintains a register of incorporated associations and sole proprietorships and a register of co-operative economic associations and non-profit trading associations and foundations, in so far as they are obliged to maintain accounting records. Income from economic activity is taken to comprise the proceeds of independent commercial activity, e.g. consulting. For legal bodies the taxation rate is 3.0% of value. Taxable earned income is arrived at by deducting expenses involved in the earning of income.
