ABSTRACT

Howard Bradley is Director of the Cambridge Institute of Educations Fellow of Hughes Hall, Cambridge, and Honorary Professor of the University of East Anglia. He has carried our research into teachers’ needs for and attitude towards INSET, into the induction year and into ways of helping primary school teachers improve their topic work. His present work is in management courses for senior staff in schools, including courses linking school-based research with more conventional INSET activities. He is Director of the Evaluation of the School Teacher Appraisal Pilot Study and Joint Director of the Support for Innovation Project.
