ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on the business plan for Meldreth Manor, one of seven schools run by Scope. The plan is a clear improvement on that generated in the first year, having benefited from the evaluation and feedback process. The business plan which follows is that written for consideration by Scope management. Meldreth Manor School is one of the premier residential schools for pupils with cerebral palsy and severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties in the UK. The school has a commitment to full access and progression within the National Curriculum, and couples this with a vision of the whole curriculum for people with complex needs. Meldreth Manor School has demonstrated great success in establishing itself as a market leader, with high standards of financial control where small surpluses are used to promote pupil learning and enhance the environment to allow for growth in the future.
