ABSTRACT

China is one of the countries which suffer from earthquakes frequently. In recent years, with the massive construction of buried pipeline, the buried pipeline which has been built or is under construction is inevitably subject to the danger of being damaged by an earthquake. Previous studies have shown that the dynamic interaction between soil and pipeline is one of the key factors affecting seismic performance of buried pipeline. Therefore, further study of the dynamic interaction is significant for the buried pipeline construction. At present, there have been many studies on the dynamic interaction between soil and pipeline, but there is a lack of a systematic summary of the model. In view of this, for three typical models of the dynamic interaction between soil and pipeline, namely elastic foundation beam model, soil spring model and nonlinear contact model, the current research achievement of the dynamic interaction between soil and buried pipeline was summarized, and some useful conclusions were obtained. It is expected to contribute to the seismic construction of buried pipeline in China.
