Imagine having qualitative analysis software which is web-based, making it easy to access and analyze your data anytime and anywhere, provided you have a computer (irrespective of the operating system) and internet connection. Besides the above distinctive qualities, Dedoose gives you an option to encrypt data – adding an extra layer of security to data uploaded online. During the coding process, you have the choice to rate (weight) relevant text coded – generating quantitative findings to supplement qualitative results. In addition, you could import an Excel spreadsheet containing quantitative data to run some statistical tests, making it a great tool for a researcher doing a mixed methods study. As you code data, outputs in the form of graphs and matrices are simultaneously produced, making it easy to retrieve what you need with the help of the ‘Filter’ function.
