ABSTRACT

The event schedule is an itinerary or 'running order' for the day of the event. Its purpose is to show everything which has been planned to occur onsite. The venue manager will begin constructing the event schedule as soon as the booking is confirmed. Thereafter, it is a working, organic, evolving document which gets continually updated so that no detail is left off the Schedule. In many cases, the client might produce the event schedule, particularly if the client is an events organiser or an events company. In such situations, the venue manager must approve all activities within the Schedule before it is finalised and distributed. If the event itself runs for more than one day, such as a three-day exhibition, the event schedule should have one page for each day, even if one day is a duplication of the previous day. This is because, in most cases, there are minor adjustments to be shown for each day.
