ABSTRACT
I was a pretty successful student in elementary school. I felt that I had a supportive home environment and loved being around my family. Although the school I attended was by no means the best school in the area at all, I still did what I could to avoid falling into the pitfalls that causes most students not to graduate. In my neighborhood it is likely that you could be shot, become pregnant at a young age, go to jail for drug crimes or any other related crime, or just find yourself in trouble for anything else. I graduated valedictorian even though I would notice major changes in my behavior, mainly my disinterest in school but I did enough to get by.
