ABSTRACT

With the discovery of nanoemulsions, the delivery of nonmiscible substance can be done more efficiently to get the desired therapeutic benefit. Nanoemulsions are the conventional emulsions having a size range of firmly below 200 nm and below 300 nm, and with this size they have vast benefits and advantages in modern health science for the treatment of various disorders. Their importance is depicted from their promising compatibility and capability to solubilize, carry, and target the encapsulated bioactive compounds to their active site of action. These colloidal systems can be applied to almost all the drug delivery routes and consequently holding the most potential for various fields such as cosmetology, therapeutics, and biotechnology.
