ABSTRACT

Among the variety of polymeric nanoparticles designed for drug delivery, nanogels have captured special attention. These three-dimensional, crosslinked polymeric networks garner lot of special features in their tiny volume. High loading efficiency and colloidal stability facilitate encapsulation of various drugs and biomolecules. Nanogels can be tailor-made for specific applications. Size, shape, responsive behavior, surface chemistry, and morphology can be tuned for effective delivery applications. Nanogels have opened up vast opportunities in biomedical field, especially in drug delivery.
