ABSTRACT

The four Dublin Local Authorities have started the process of developing their climate change action plans. This chapter discusses that process, and how it was informed by the case study cities. I also reflect on my own involvement, and how I have applied my research to the process. Specifically, I consider the lessons of the policy makers and how their experiences have shaped my approach. Finally, as implementation is an ongoing challenge, I discuss the road ahead for the Dublin Local Authorities with the challenges and opportunities in responding to climate change.
