ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we will discuss how the career change (physical) and career transition (psychological) processes happen, and why going through career change is often such an anxious and agonising time.

We will also cover the Career Transformational Assets – self-knowledge, openness to new experiences, and ability to build strategic and dynamic networks – that are vital for developing our leadership skills and careers, enabling us to get a new view of ourselves and what we could contribute to in our organisations and in society.
