ABSTRACT
In addressing ourselves to the problem of the origins of schizophrenia, it would be helpful if we could agree about what schizophrenia is. But a scrutiny of the papers presented at this Congress alone leaves doubt whether we do agree about what it is whose origins we are seeking.
