ABSTRACT
All information obtained was compiled in a document called Main Environmental Problems of Ecuador, published in 1980 and widely distributed within Ecuador. It is also important to consider that even though there was no experience in environmental education, the team had a vast knowledge of the patterns of behaviour of the different ethnic groups that form Ecuador. Mass-media experts, journalists and active professionals in the field of mass communication faced the same problem Fundacion Natura. The project was designed to bring the participation of all mass-media communications into it newspapers, radio, television, cinema, and little media. Politicians, government officers, congressmen, the army, industrialists, and other leading groups were considered to be decision-makers. They were to become target groups of the project. All information obtained was compiled in a document called Main Environmental Problems of Ecuador, published in 1980 and widely distributed within Ecuador.
