ABSTRACT

The aim of this book is to present systems safety research that contributes to making aircraft maintenance safer by understanding the nature and extent of the I-LED phenomenon and its benefit to safety resilience. Chapter 10 concludes the book with a summary of the safety research carried out against five objectives, which support the aim. The novel contributions of this research are reviewed along with an evaluation of the approach to research and directions for future work. Concluding remarks offer a final statement of how I-LED interventions should be integrated within the safety system to make aircraft maintenance safer, as well as other safety dependent organisations such as energy suppliers, transportation and medical contexts.
