ABSTRACT

Wheel and rail contact force can be used to monitor vehicle status and detect track disease. This paper proposes a new data modeling method to identify wheel and rail vertical contact force using acceleration data. This method is different from the traditional methods. This method has the advantages of simple, fast and low cost. The data model for identify wheel and rail vertical contact force has been validated by the use of field test data from the high speed comprehensive train. The results show good consistency when compared with the field test data.
