ABSTRACT
Different types of I-O graduate programs are unique in the type of education and experiences offered. In this chapter, we discuss each of the major options for graduate school in order for prospective applicants to get a sense of what program type would be best suited for their career goals. Specifically, we focus on I-O master’s programs, I-O Ph.D. programs, I-O Psy.D. programs, and Business programs. Since we often find students debating between I-O master’s or Ph.D. programs, we outline the pros and cons of each. Online I-O programs are increasing in popularity, and we provide an overview on the perception of online degrees in the field and how to thoroughly vet programs to make a decision as to whether it would be a good option.
