ABSTRACT
Single-stage systems involving one coarse actuator are not powerful enough any longer in the scenarios where high positioning accuracy and high servo bandwidth are demanded, particularly when long stroke motion is required simultaneously. Usually, dual-stage systems composed of a coarse or primary actuator and a fine actuator working together are employed to meet the aforementioned requirements.
