ABSTRACT
The introduction introduces the rationale for and the added value of the volume. It discusses the role language plays in making sense of our world in general and of world trade relations in particular. In doing so, we provide a short overview of different theoretical approaches within the constructivist literature in International Political Economy for which the use of language plays a role.
