ABSTRACT

Faculty struggle to keep abreast of quick-paced technological change which has generated an unprecedented number of computer-based information sources. Four such sources are evaluated by students/faculty of the undergraduate International Business course. An on-line library catalogue system; Infotrac; the National Trade Data Bank (NTDB) and a recent simulation, providing export information, Export To Win! are evaluated. Student open-ended evaluations are content analyzed by the authors and the results of a survey rating the sources on four criteria are reported. Suggestions are provided to aid teachers of International Business to effectively and efficiently integrate computer data sources into their course.
