ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on mental and imaginative energy, concocting ideas. Criteria make the option choosing more exacting. They allow for ideas to be checked individually to see if the options match the standards, requirements, or targets. Simply developing a checklist for how well ideas fit each criterion will generally make the option-choosing more rigorous. Caution and care are needed when checking out the worth of ideas. Since one of the core rules of storming is to allow wildness and getting all proposals out, some of the ideas that are proposed can seem to be too far out or too fragmented for full consideration by the group. Using good communication techniques during the checking process can greatly enhance its value. The adventure of coming up with all the ideas can fade if a group is overwhelmed with sorting through the options to make sense of them.
