ABSTRACT

Anthuriums (Araceae) are native to tropical zones of Central and South America, with more than 500 species assigned to this genus. Three species have achieved status as commercially propagated plants: A. andraeanum Lind. ex Andre, grown chiefly for cut flowers; A. scherzerianum Schott, grown as a flowering potted plant; and A. crystallinum Lind. and Andre (possibly a complex of hybrids including A. leuconeurum 20 ), grown as a foliage plant. 21
