ABSTRACT
The research plan for this book focused on the crime scene actions of U.S. serial murderers and their background characteristics. This required finding out how offenders initially approached their victims and what behavioral actions were subsequently performed during the crimes. Briefly, serial murderer is defined here as any individual who murdered three or more victims, on different dates, and at different geographical locations.
