ABSTRACT

Industrialists and developers believe they are the true heroes of this world. To industrialists and developers, the successful production of their products or the successful completion of their projects is not the most important thing. Industrialists and developers believe that people who object to their actions are nuisances to be ignored or obstacles to be overcome. The objections raised by their detractors are of little concern to industrialists and to developers. Government regulation is one of the most significant obstacles that industrialists and developers have to overcome. Industrialists and developers often believe that elected officials and bureaucrats feed off the wealth that they, the industrialists and the developers, create. Industrialists and developers believe that politicians and bureaucrats are infinitely pliable, provided a little money is expended in the right places and in the right ways. Many industrialists and developers have totally unnerved their opposition by demonstrating real concern for people and a sincere commitment to protecting the environment.
