ABSTRACT
The importance of a formal, well-organized environmental management program cannot be overstressed. It is no longer sufficient that a manufacturing firm merely manage its wastes properly. It is now necessary to document compliance. The purpose of this chapter is to provide a better understanding of the need for and benefits of the documentation portion of an environmental management program.
