ABSTRACT
Although this book is primarily focused on the proper management of wastes defined as “hazardous,” some discussion of standards and good practices for the management of nonhazardous waste is necessary. This chapter is included because most manufacturing firms generate both hazardous and nonhazardous wastes, as well as wastes not meeting the regulatory definition of solid waste.
