ABSTRACT
Changes in the details of the energy-loss spectrum with changes in the composition of GaN alloys (GaN, AlGaN and InGaN) has been observed. Large changes in the plasmon energy are the most noticeable change. The fine structure on the ionisation edges and in the bandgap region are also dependent on alloy composition. Similar changes have been observed in InGaN quantum wells.
