ABSTRACT

A method is presented in the paper for dynamic probability assessment of discrete parts manufacturing. A dynamic Markovian model is chosen that is adequate to the process under consideration in the above mentioned aspects and the model is represented by means of graphs and is matematically described. Structure and functions of the software product REQUCOS (Reliability, Quality. Cost), developed in TURBOPASCAL 5.0 for IBM PC XT/AT, are proposed, thus providing quick and accurate model assessment for any complex manufacturing process with respect to any designer or user chosen moment of the manufacturing devices’ life cycle.

At the end of the paper results from a real machine manufacturing assessment are provided with respect to reliability, quality and quality cost. The advantages of this kind of modeling are analysed, concerning choosing of control versions in the course of manufacturing in order to satisfy a certain qualitative criterion while manifaining a minimum loss level, calculations made for a given time interval after starting devices ‘operation.
