Exploitation of structural reserves in thin-walled composite aerospace structures requires accurate and experimentally validated stability analysis of real structures under realistic loading conditions. For stringer-stiffened panels experimental validation of postbuckling analyses and behavior under dynamic loading is presented. For unstiffened cylindrical shells a robust design method relying on b-factors is suggested.
